The Museum Spring program featuring a number of cultural, entertainment and heritage activities including technical workshops on painting and drawing for children and school students drew huge crowds during the second school midterm break.

Organized by the National Museum here, the program’s attractions included drawing and painting on pottery and photo mixing besides a special corner of photography for children and a handicrafts corner.

“The week has seen remarkable turnout of visitors given the number of activities and events organized by the National Museum,” the program organizers said Thursday.

The program was aimed at providing interactive events for children and their families including educational, cultural and entertainment aspects. It also reflected the keenness to educate youth on the importance of heritage.

Besides the National Museum, events are also being held at the Al-Hayat mall in the city.

The program includes various cultural and entertainment activities during which a number of gifts and presents were distributed to children. This was aimed at developing their talents and prompting them to know their heritage and realize its priceless value.

The program also had an information corner in which the audience had a chance to recognize the exhibits and historic materials of the museum, realizing its historic and cultural importance.
