A Nepalese worker was arrested here for murdering a fellow countryman during an argument, Riyadh police reported on Friday.

The police said the worker, 25, killed the man and dumped his body on the side of a road. The victim was a laborer for a construction company.

The police made the arrest after receiving a tip-off from a Yemeni national who found the body. The man had called the police station in Batha. Officers had arrived at the scene with the Red Crescent to remove the body.

The police tracked down the killer, who eventually confessed to killing his friend during an argument. The Nepalese Embassy did not have further details of the case.

Meanwhile, the police also reported that officers arrested a 21-year-old Yemeni man for allegedly murdering three men, a Saudi, Yemeni and Afghani. The alleged perpetrator had apparently been part of a gang carrying out armed robberies since Ramadan.

The dead Saudi man was 57 years of age and the Afghani 37. The Yemeni national, whose age is not known, was apparently killed with poisoned fruit juice. Investigations are continuing.
