BISHA: A police officer on patrol was injured when he tried to overpower two persons from whom 57 Captagon pills were seized in Bisha, according to a website.

The officer sprained his back and injured his knee ligament. He is receiving treatment in King Abdullah Hospital.

Quoting sources, the website reported that the police patrol team in north Bisha chased a suspected car with two people on board. It was stopped by the police and 57 Captagon pills were seized. The men tried to swallow the pills and resisted attempts by the officers who wanted to prevent this. In the process, one of the officers received the injuries.

During the scuffle, one of the accused ran away. He was later caught in one of the localities of Bisha. Their case has been referred to the anti-narcotics department of Bisha.
