A Saudi teenager has died from the MERS coronavirus, bringing the death toll from the respiratory disease in the Kingdom to 63.
A ministry source said the latest victim, a 19-year-old citizen, died in Al-Kharj, southeast of Riyadh.
Two of his sisters are in hospital on suspicion they have been infected with the virus, news agencies quoted the source as saying.
If they prove to be positive, it would further raise the number of people infected.
So far, 152 people have been infected in the Kingdom since September 2012.
The latest death brings the total fatalities to 81 out of the 185 patients affected worldwide.
Reports said the new virus is related to SARS, or severe acute respiratory syndrome, which killed some 800 people in a global outbreak in 2003.
It belongs to a family of viruses that most often causes the common cold.
The disease affects mostly patients suffering from chronic diseases and people who are above the age of 60.
