Pakistan’s Federal Minister for Religious Affairs Sardar Mohammed Yousaf arrived in Jeddah on Sunday to discuss Haj preparations for year 2014..

Ambassador Mohammed Naeem Khan and Consul General Aftab H. Khokher were present at the King Abdul Aziz International Airport to receive the minister.

Yousaf, who is accompanied by joint secretary Shahzad Ahmed and secretary Eskandar Ismail, will be meeting Haj Minister Bandar Al-Hajar to discuss preparations for Haj 2014 and sign a formal bilateral agreement with the Haj Ministry.

“This is an official meeting to sign the formal bilateral agreement between the two countries on how the arrangements will take place and how the pilgrims will arrive to perform the rituals. Such an agreement is signed by the officials of all the Muslim countries related to Haj. Discussions will be held on the preparations for the pilgrims for Haj 2014,” said Sohail Ali Khan, press consul. He said that Yousaf will meet the Haj Secretary-General Hatem Al-Qadi on Monday.

During its week-long stay in the Kingdom, the delegation will visit Makkah and Madinah. Yousaf will also meet and have discussions with South Asian Establishment for Pilgrims in Makkah and sign the agreement and sub-agreement concerning arrangements for the pilgrims.
