A Saudi-Pakistan friendship event was held in Riyadh to mark the 74th National Day of Pakistan. Organized by PML-N Saudi Chapter, the function was attended among others by Pakistan Muslim League (Nawaz) Information Secretary Sen. Mushahid Ullah Khan.

While recalling the recent visit by a Saudi delegation to Islamabad, Khan said, “The visits by the high-level Saudi dignitaries to Pakistan and the Saudi contribution to the Pakistan Development Fund are ample proof of the special relationship between the two Muslim countries.”

“I thank Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah for making Nawaz Sharif’s seven-year stay in the Kingdom memorable,” said Mushahid Ullah.

He said that the Kingdom and Pakistan enjoyed special relationship as indicated from the continuous support of King Abdullah.

Muhammad Naeem Khan, ambassador of Pakistan to Riyadh, Mirza Altaf Hussain, president of PML-N Saudi Arabia; Khalid Akram Rana, president of PML-N Riyadh; embassy officials and community leaders attended the event. Some 500 PML-N supporters were also present, besides party leaders from PPP, PTI, JUI-F and ANP. National songs, poetry recitals and a sumptuous dinner were highlights of the evening.

Naeem Khan expressed gratitude and said that King Abdullah has often said to him that Pakistan is his second home.

The ambassador prayed for the success of Pakistan, excellent bilateral ties with Saudi Arabia, and for solidarity, progress and prosperity of the people of Pakistan.

Mushahid Ullah administered oath to office-bearers of PML-N Riyadh and its President Khalid Rana.
