A Pakistan Navy Ship PNS Alamgir arrives on a four-day (March 3 to 6) goodwill-cum-training visit on Monday, according to Sohail Ali Khan, press consul.

The ship will arrive at the Jeddah Islamic Port on Monday. He said the visit is in line with great maritime traditions and to further strength the existing warm and cordial relations between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.

He explained that PNS Alamgir is named after Emperor Aurangzeb Alamgir who was the sixth ruler of the Mogul Empire.

“PNS Alamgir, commissioned in August 2010, is equipped with state-of-the-art combat management system, torpedoes and missiles. It can also operate an organic helicopter, and is one of the most potent elements of Pakistani naval fleet, capable of fighting in all three dimensions,” Khan said.
