A Pakistani national was killed as a result of wounds sustained during a fight with a Sudanese national at a local restaurant in Hail. A small dispute quickly escalated into a fight with sticks ending in the death of the Pakistani national.

Col. Abdulaziz Alzenadi, media spokesman of Hail Police, said a fight between a 37-year-old Sudanese national and a 30-year-old Pakistani national took place at 3 p.m. on Sunday at a local restaurant. The Pakistani national received several injuries to the head during the quarrel, and was transferred immediately to hospital for medical assistance.

Alzenadi said that security authorities began investigating the incident immediately after receiving the communiqué, and identified the murder weapon: A thick stick. The Pakistani victim died of his injuries at 5 p.m. Security authorities arrested the Sudanese national, who confessed to beating the deceased with a thick stick.

Investigations are under way in preparation for a trial.
