RIYADH: The Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs issued new regulations which states that employees who delay paperwork will be penalized.
The ministry also called on its inspectors to be vigilant and penalize those deserving it.
The new regulations activate the role of the special administration units that monitor the progress of work electronically.
These public administrations check first the work of the ministry and municipalities, and, in a second stage, investigate and impose penalties when deemed necessary.
The new regulations call on the executive parties at the ministry to penalize employees that do not conform to work regulations according to Article 31 of the Municipal Law.
