Madhu Pillai, a Project Management specialist and speaker based in Saudi Arabia has recently been elected as the vice president of AACEI (Association for the Advancement of Cost Engineering) International, a 58-year-old nonprofit global organization spread over 87 countries. Headquartered in the USA, the AACEI is considered as the ultimate authority for cost engineering and many other areas of project management.

Pillai served on the international board of the organization from 2008-2010 as its Regional Director in Charge of Asia, Europe & Africa and is currently serving on the board of directors of International Cost Engineering Council.

Pillai is the first non-American to be elected as VP in the history of the organization. His new role in AACEI will allow him to lead the organization’s activities in all countries except North America. He will assume the new position in the AACEI at its next board meeting to be held in June in New Orleans, USA.

An electrical engineering graduate from India, Pillai holds a Masters Degree in Human Resources Management and Business Management. A seasoned professional with expertise in Project & Operations Management, Pillai has been awarded the O. T. Zimmerman Global award for his contributions to the Cost Management community.

Pillai has spoken in more than 20 international conferences around the world and chaired a few. He is also a much sought after inspirational speaker for many non-profit professional bodies.

Pillai has worked with leading Indian business houses and multi-national companies in India, Nigeria, USA and the Middle East in a career which spans 28 years.
