In a shocking development, three more bodies have been found at the same farm where two were accidentally dug up in Safwa, Qatif, last week.

An investigation is underway to ensure that there are no other bodies buried at the scene.

Mohammad Al-Shahri, assistant media spokesman at the Eastern Province Police Department, said that extensive inspections carried out by the criminal investigation team in Qatif led to the discovery of three decomposed bodies that were also buried at the farm.

The identities of the victims remain unknown.

The Safawi police station had found two skeletons when they received a call on Saturday from a citizen who was building an irrigation path inside the farm when he found the remains.

Ropes were found alongside the bones, buried just one meter below the surface, indicating that the victims may have been tied up. In addition, a ring was found next to one of the skeletons.

Initial evidence indicated that the victims were of Asian descent.

The feet, heads and fingers of the bodies were found missing.

Al-Shahri said Qatif police have begun criminal investigation procedures. The area has been sealed off pending investigation.
