Dr. Fatimah Al-Mulhim was presented the 2015 Women in Science Hall of Fame Award for her outstanding achievements in diagnosing and treating breast cancer throughout the Eastern Province.

US Consul General in Dhahran Mike Hankey gave away the award at a ceremony in Dhahran.

The “Women in Science Hall of Fame” initiative began in 2010 with the intention of honoring women in the Middle East and North Africa region. This year, the award committee selected Al-Mulhim as one of 10 inspiring women in view of her accomplishments and efforts in serving as a role model for women and girls in the Kingdom and worldwide who wish to pursue science education and associated high-profile careers.

Al-Mulhim is a radiology professor at the University of Dammam, chairwoman of the Department of Radiology and the King Fahd Teaching Hospital and head of the Breast Cancer Division at the Saudi Cancer Foundation.
