The Saudi-German Hospitals Group honored Arab News during a ceremony marking the group’s silver jubilee. The ceremony, which was presided over by Sobhi Batterjee, the group chairman, was held at Park Hayat Hotel in Jeddah on Tuesday.

Addressing the event, Batterjee disclosed the group’s huge expansion plan but did not elaborate. A documentary film highlighting the group’s achievements in the health sector was screened.

The chairman earlier welcomed the participants including ambassadors, consuls, Health Ministry officials and executives of insurance companies as well as companies that support the group’s charity program to provide health services to the poor and needy patients.

In his keynote speech, the chairman also thanked former Makkah Gov. Prince Khaled Al-Faisal for his support and welcomed the new Gov. Prince Mishaal bin Abdullah. He noted the efforts of the Health, Labor and Finance Ministries and all employees of the group to boost health services.

Batterjee spoke about the group’s efforts to Saudize jobs in various fields.

In addition to Arab News, a number of government departments, newspapers and other companies were honored during the event.
