The French Consulate General in Jeddah will honor Saudi women for their contribution to different fields on March 11 at the residence of Consul General Louis Blin.

“The event will be held for the first time in Jeddah on the occasion of International Women’s Day and will be an annual event,” Blin told Arab News. “There will be an award for the arts category and another for overall achievement.”

“This event is a token of appreciation from French counterparts toward developments on the arts and women’s rights fronts in Jeddah. France has always supported any initiative to honor women. In fact, it is our duty to encourage women to pursue their talents and hobbies,” he said.
