Khaled Al-Molhem, director general of Saudi Arabian Airlines (SAUDIA), laid the foundation stone for its new office building in Madinah on Sunday. The building will accommodate the airline’s sales office as well as administrative, marketing and financial departments.

“We planned for this new building considering the growing number of passengers traveling to and from Madinah including a large number of Haj and Umrah pilgrims,” Al-Molhem, said, adding: “We also operate a large number of international flights to Madinah.”

The Saudia chief said the establishment of the new building is in line with Saudia’s efforts to improve its customer services, including self-services, with the support of modern technology. Self-service machines have been installed at airports, sales offices and supermarkets to provide passengers with speedy services in order to save their time and energy.

Stating that the Madinah office project coincides with the expansion of Prince Mohammed bin Abdulaziz Airport in Madinah, he said the expansion project would bring about a qualitative improvement in services.

In addition, the new office will also serve the new development projects in Madinah, including the Haramain Railway.

Al-Molhem underscored the cooperation between Saudia and other government departments in Madinah, under the directives of Madinah Gov. Prince Faisal bin Salman.
