The Saudi Commission for Tourism and Antiquities (SCTA) has launched a campaign to attract both visitors and investors to promote the country’s rich cultural heritage during the week-long Eid Al-Adha holiday.
An official said on Sunday that the campaign was aimed at promoting the concept of advance planning of holidays by selecting the right tourism offers provided by tour operators in collaboration with the SCTA during this Eid Al Adha holiday.
The commission has also urged visitors to ensure that the accommodation facilities they opt for an licensed operator and its price list is approved by the SCTA.
The campaign, which was launched on Friday under the theme “Experience Eid’s delight,” consists of two parts, with the first focusing on the tourism events that are scheduled to take place during the Eid holidays across the Kingdom, and the second highlighting tourism offers provided by hotels and furnished apartments and tourism facilities during the holiday.
The SCTA launched the marketing campaign exclusively devoted to Eid Al Adha holiday on audiovisual and mass media, the official said, adding that information on tourism offers could be accessed via Tourism Communication Center on the Toll-Free number (19988).
He said the SCTA’s official website also provides detailed information on Tourism e-Calendar about all tourism events and activities that are taking place across the country, and can be accessed via the link http://event.sct.gov.sa, or through Saudi Tourism website http://www.sauditourism.com.sa.
Earlier, the SCTA had announced that museums across the Kingdom would be open during the Eid Al-Adha holidays for visitors to promote the country’s rich heritage and culture.
