A voluntary team has announced its intention to cooperate with security authorities in Taif to look for a 50-year-old citizen who went missing in one of the villages affiliated with Al-Mahani center, after receiving information leading to his whereabouts.

Press spokesman for the team Abdulaziz Al-Aboudi said the team members intend to participate in the search operation with the help of eight cars equipped with wireless communications systems and tracking devices in addition to a plane.

He added the team assigned Nuqta tribe as the gathering point for the operation which commenced after Friday morning prayers.

“We hope to find him now as we have received information of his whereabouts from his relatives increasing the possibility of finding him,” Al-Aboudi said.

The missing man’s daughter called the team on Thursday morning saying that he was sitting under a tree confirming that the man was alive.

Spokesman for Makkah police, Lt. Col. Ati bin Atiyah Al-Qurashi said Al-Mahani police station in Taif was informed about the absence of a citizen in his 50s in one of the villages affiliated with the center. He confirmed that coordination with security bodies have been initiated to form a working team to search for the missing man.
