The Saudi Heart Association (SHA) celebrated its silver jubilee by organizing a world conference in Riyadh seeking to minimize cardiac problems.

Speaking on the concluding day of the conference on Friday, SHA President Khalid Al-Habib said: “The SHA aims to advance the level of education and training in the field of cardiovascular medicine. It will also endeavor to facilitate exchange of scientific expertise, skills development, scientific research and dissemination of health education for prevention of heart diseases.”

The conference brought together cardiac scientists and care-givers from the across the Kingdom and other parts of the world to share their knowledge and expertise with the ultimate goal of improving overall cardiac care in the Kingdom, he said, adding that the conference began Tuesday with various sessions discussing different aspects of cardiac care.
