The Shoura Council will deliberate on a draft law related to jobs handling public funds during its 23rd session on Monday, Saudi Press Agency said.

The 15-point draft law, which was prepared by the financial affairs committee of the council, touches on the rights and duties of those handling public funds.

Meanwhile, the council will vote on recommendations made by the committee of social affairs, family and youth related to the annual performance of the Ministry of Social Affairs for the 1433-1434H financial year.

The committee has called for strict regulations on the protection of inmates of care centers against violence and maltreatment. The committee has also urged the ministry to undertake issues that fall within its area of responsibility such as beggary and cases of runaway house maids.

The Shoura Council will explore a report prepared by the committee of health affairs and environment related to a memorandum of understanding on animal products and veterinary medicines between the Kingdom and Morocco.

On the following day, the council will discuss a report presented by the security affairs committee on a security cooperation agreement between the Saudi and Yemeni governments.

The council plans to examine the annual reports on the Ministry of Telecommunications and Information Technology, Saline Water Conversion Corp. (SWCC) and another study on the protection of Arabic language in the Kingdom.
