The spring weather has seen many young people flock to the corniche here to walk and exercise on the equipment provided by the mayoralty.

The mayoralty set up the equipment on the 4-km stretch six years ago for all citizens and expatriates to use free of charge.

Essam Al-Mulla, mayor of Al-Khobar, urged people not to damage the equipment.

He said the mayoralty has also set up sports equipment in various areas for young people to exercise, such as in the Raka neighborhood.

He said there are many young people who exercise and enjoy the fresh air on the corniche, especially in the early morning hours.

Al-Mulla said that the mayoralty is spreading awareness about protecting public property. “We trust that every person who uses this equipment to ensure it remains in a good condition.”
