The Ministry of Education will begin sending kindergarten teachers on scholarships to countries that have advanced experience in this domain as part of the Kingdom’s efforts to develop its education system.

The plan includes establishing partnerships with local and international organizations that are interested in early childhood education to benefit from their experience, gain access to their curriculums and come up with training mechanisms for teachers.

The ministry has approved three specialized curriculums that will be taught in kindergartens throughout the academic year designed to suit cultural specificities, values, traditions and the characteristics of Saudi children.

The ministry also intends to implement a national strategic plan for early childhood education, which includes the creation of a database for such children.

The King Abdullah Public Education Development Project launched the second phase of developing kindergarten curriculum through Tatweer for Educational Services, an official source said, adding that 50 kindergartens would apply it this year.
