Tabuk police have arrested a five-member gang accused of committing crimes ranging from robbery to firing at police in several neighborhoods in the Tabuk region.

All members of the gang are Saudi citizens in their 20s and 30s, local media reported. The gang was involved in at least 66 cases.

Mohammed Al-Rashidi, acting media spokesman for Tabuk police, said the men are being interrogated.

The gang mainly used stolen vehicles to carry out their crimes, he said.

Suspects are being fingerprinted and DNA samples tested for comparison with previous cases reported to forensic evidence officials.

Teams were able to quickly identify suspects after carrying out intensified security and undercover patrol work in the locations from where the reports originate, Al-Rashidi said.
