The results of DNA tests conducted by forensic experts have proved that the body parts retrieved from a bore well in Tabuk belonged to Lama Al-Rouqi, the six-year-old girl who fell into the well on Dec. 20.

“This result disproves the falsifications and rumors spread by members of the public, which negatively affected the girl’s relatives and belittled the efforts exerted by authorities,” said Col. Mamdouh Al-Anazi, Civil Defense spokesman in Tabuk, on Thursday.

He urged the public not to believe rumors spread through social media outlets. “People should refrain from circulating such rumors.”

Al-Anazi said efforts were continuing to take out Lama’s body, with Saudi Aramco setting up a drilling machine at the well. He did not specify how many more days it would take to recover the body from the 114-meter-deep well.
