The 4th edition of the Travel and Tourism Exhibition, aimed at giving a thrust to domestic tourism and offering a platform to youngsters inclined toward travel and tourism job opportunities, will kick off at The Hilton on Tuesday.

The three-day exhibition will see the participation of more than 80 companies. It is being organized by the Jeddah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (JCCI), Saudi Commission of Tourism and Antiquities (STCA) and the Jeddah Municipality. It will also be attended by international experts and decision-makers, both from private and public tourism sectors, companies and tourist centers.

It will be the largest exhibition and conference with more than 25,000 visitors expected to participate.

Adnan Mandoura, JCCI secretary-general, said the exhibition will be open from 4 p.m. to 11 p.m. on all three days.

He pointed out that the exhibition will throw up excellent business opportunities between exhibitors and visitors to reach new horizons, development of relationships and exchanging experiences between decision-makers and investors.

He said that with visitors from the Kingdom as well as abroad participating in the exhibition, it will be a success particularly since Jeddah is a commercial hub with abundant tourism opportunities, the longest Corniche in the Middle East, a city of conferences, forums, international exhibitions in the region and the presence of hundreds of centers, markets and parks.

Mandoura pointed out that the exhibition, which will have a large number of international and Arab organizations from all sectors related to travel and tourism industry, will be able to meet with a large segment of Saudi public who will be keen to know tourism offers and want to discuss tourism-related issues.

Maya bint Hassan, president of the exhibition’s organizing committee, said the target sectors at the exhibition are shopping, entertainment, accommodation, embassies, consulates, medical and health tourism, travel agencies, real estate development, tourist establishments and committees.

“This will be the largest event of its kind in the Middle East, bringing together all relevant sectors of the industry,” she said.

She pointed out that the exhibition will provide good opportunities for companies to promote tourism and travel through their tourism programs.
