Foreign and local transportation experts will meet in the Saudi capital later this month to discuss the effect of new transportation projects on the development of tourism in the Kingdom.

They will also discuss the importance of the integration of the new sectors of transportation projects and their role in stimulating the development of tourism.

The discussions will be held in one of the sessions of the Saudi Travel and Tourism Investment Market (STTIM-2014). The event, which is organized by the Saudi Commission for Tourism and Antiquities (SCTA), will be held under the aegis of Riyadh Gov. Prince Khaled bin Bandar who is also the chairman of the Riyadh Tourism Development Council. The event will take place from March 30 to April 4.

The event will feature a number of sessions on important aspects including “The role of new transportation projects in the stimulation and development of the tourism sector,” “Reality and the future of investment in the tourism sector,” “the entertainment and tourism industry,” “The role of youth in the development of the tourism sector,” “Projects of the National Program for Handicraft Development (Bari),” among others.

The STTIM-2014, which is in its 7th session will be held under the theme “Tourism — Partnership toward sustainable development” and is scheduled to feature five major scientific sessions to be held as dialogue sessions with the participation of a number of officials and specialists. There will also be question-answer sessions.

The event will feature a number of scientific sessions and workshops in which a team of selected elite speakers and analysts from within and outside the Kingdom will take part to address the most important

topics related to the tourism industry.

The six-day event will include 35 specialized events in the field of tourism to discuss a number of issues that concern tourism industry professionals.
