For the first time in the Middle East, the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) will accredit public and private schools in the Kingdom. A conference to announce the new accreditation program was held in Jeddah under the patronage of Princess Jawaher Bint Abdulaziz bint Abdul Aziz.

The focus of the conference was to introduce the concept of academic accreditation for all teaching associations and the application of international standards in the educational process.

Princess Jawaher said, "We plan to develop the education system and ensure sustainability. I have noticed a quantum leap in the education process in the last three years.

The new leap summarizes a strategic plan for the development of education including both curriculum and education environment.”
