The higher committee for Prince Salman prize on Arabian Peninsula history held a meeting under the chairmanship of Crown Prince Salman, deputy premier and minister defense, and announced the prizewinners.

Addressing the meeting, Prince Salman emphasized the importance of studies on history while expressing his satisfaction over the good participation of historians and researchers in the competition to win the prize.

Saudi winners of the prize were Abdullatif Al-Humaidan of King Saud University, Abdul Aziz Kaaki of Madinah mayoralty, Abdul Rahman Al-Shubaily, former Shoura member, and Mohammed Al-Zulfa, director of Al-Zulfa Cultural Center.

Other winners were Abdul Fattah Abualiya of Jordan, Abdullah Al-Ghoneim of Kuwait, Tahani bint Nasser Al-Ajaji of Princess Nora University, and Saud Al-Ghamdi and Badriya bint Mohammed Al-Otaibi of King Saud University, Sara bint Ahmed Al-Zahrani, Saleh Al-Senaidi and Abdullah Al-Haidary of Imam Mohammed bin Saud Islamic University, Dalal bint Al-Saeed of King Abdulaziz University, Mohammed bin Mansour Hawi of King Khaled University, Abdullah Al-Sanie, Abdul Mohsen bin Muammar of the National Guard Ministry and Saad Al-Hafi, a researcher.
