Badir Program for Technical Incubators, an affiliate of King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology (KACST), and the Centennial Fund (TCF) have jointly agreed to promote Saudi entrepreneurs and to develop creative business initiatives and emerging technical projects in the Kingdom, local media said.

This was the theme of a workshop recently organized by the Saudi Business Incubator Network (SBIN) at the TCF premises in Riyadh.

The workshop explored aspects of cooperation and coordination between the Badir Program and TCF in issues related to boosting entrepreneurship and ways to overcome obstacles.

The two parties also stressed the need to draw up joint initiatives conducive to helping Saudi youths in this area and the formation of mini teams from both parties to implement and follow up areas of cooperation based on time scales.

The SBIN was established in 2009 with the support of Badir and its primary goal is to provide a nurturing, instructive and supportive environment for entrepreneurs during the cal stages of starting up a new business.

Badir Program aims to develop technical trading in the Kingdom through the adoption of a range of services that include entrepreneurship, innovation, and the establishment of incubators. The program’s mission is to ensure access to targeted sectors of the program’s services, integrate incubators’ efforts to attract inventors and innovators, and highlight KACST’s initiatives to support innovation and invention among citizens.
