A court in Yanbu has sentenced an expatriate worker to death for raping and murdering three Asian housemaids in the city, local media said.

The ruling, issued by Awada Salim, will be implemented in the next few days, a local daily reported.

According to the verdict, upheld by both the Court of Appeal and the Supreme Court, the killer’s car and mobile phone have been confiscated since they contained evidence of his assaults, the daily said.

The three rape and murder incidents took place in 2007, 2008 and 2009, the daily said.

In one case, the criminal admitted that he had lured one of his victims into his house, where he raped her in his bedroom, after which she managed to escape in front of his wife and children.

The killer then chased her into the street, stabbing her three times and leaving her to die in a pool of blood, the daily said.
