The Yemeni government has handed over 29 wanted Saudis including 11 people who had been arrested and released earlier and nine who were on trial but were not detained.

“As part of security cooperation and joint efforts between the two brotherly countries of Saudi Arabia and Yemen, the Kingdom has been handed over 29 Saudi nationals who are wanted by the authorities, Maj. Gen. Mansour Al-Turki, spokesman for the Interior Ministry, said in a statement.

Sources said the 29 people left for Yemen and entered the country illegally to join Al-Qaeda there. Of them, 20 were released between 2011 and 2012, some of whom completed their prison terms while some were released from Prince Mohammad bin Naif Counseling and Care Center.
