Saudi season alert

This is just the beginning. In a few days, the holy month of Ramadan will start again.
Thousands of Saudis wish to return from their vacations abroad, while all Saudis already here start panic buying in anticipation of the month.
Frequently, this is what happens. Saudis start preparing feverishly for Eid Al-Fitr.
Once they survive this financial headache, they need to prepare immediately for a new back-to-school period. Bear in mind that all of this requires people to budget effectively on one month’s salary.
If you ever notice a Saudi friend of yours looking pale, absent-minded and exhausted, this could be because of the season’s financial and social requirements.
Although many of us may find it to be a season for spiritual comfort, thousands of other Saudis find it difficult to survive this high demanding season financially.
Social awareness and those committed to raising it can provide a great help. Unfortunately, things are not the same as they used to be.
If this season provides the best chance to remember the poor, let’s do so.
A greater task faces charity organizations and societies such as Al-Bir to support those who may never survive the season’s huge demands.
Zakat requires a better way to reach those who seriously need help.
