Security and growth interrelated

There is no security without development and no development without security, said Naif Arab University for Security Sciences Rector Abdul-Aziz bin Saqr Al-Ghamdi at the opening ceremony of the 17th session of the Executive Council of the Federation of Universities of the Islamic World (FUIW).
The event is being hosted by the university at its headquarters in Riyadh.
The session was in cooperation with the FUIW in the presence of Imam Muhammad bin Saud Islamic University Rector and head of the FUIW Executive Council Suleiman bin Abdullah Aba Al-Khail Al-Ghamdi and rectors and deputies of 14 Arab and Islamic universities.
Al-Ghamdi in his speech explained that the university has been organizing meetings at the direction and under the direct supervision of Crown Prince Prince Naif, deputy premier and minister of interior and president of the Supreme Council of the University as an embodiment of the cooperation, coordination and exchange of scientific expertise between universities, councils and scientific and research centers in pursuit of comprehensive security, which is one of the necessities all seek to achieve.
He said the university is proud to serve the sectors of security and justice and to qualify a generation able to confront challenges and threats faced by the Arab and Islamic world.
Al-Khail indicated that the employees of universities of the Islamic world were looking forward to this meeting and to more effective cooperation. They would like to serve the faith and nations according to the moderate concepts of the Holy Qur’an and Prophet Muhammad’s (peace be upon him) teachings to ensure the safety and tranquility of Islamic societies and the rest of the world.
He praised the security and safety in the Kingdom under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah and the crown prince who do their best in the service of Islam and Muslims in various parts of the world. He expressed hope that this meeting would contribute to strengthening ties between the Islamic universities.
