Inspired by the success of its pilot project last year, the Safari Basketball Association mounts a new tournament which opens today at the refurbished basketball court of Safari New Camp (SNC) near King Abdulaziz International Airport on Makkah Road here.

The 1st Indomie -SBA Invitational Basketball Tournament dubbed Bouncing 2013 will run for three months from March 15 to June 14.

Games are to be played Thursdays and Fridays from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m.

SBA founder-chairman-commissioner Master Nestor Cuizon Suliva said most of the teams entered in this KAIA Rim League are the sub-contractors of the ongoing new KAIA projects and the others from the outskirts of Jeddah like GACA-ANS, SCL, Dynarabia, SGS, SBG Vision, Haramain High Speed Railway, Mastoura Saudi Electric, MASCO, EWWA Int’l., BEMCO Steel, BBI and Jokers. .

Suliva would like to thank Pinehill Arabia Food Limited (PAFL), the sole distributor of Indomie Noodles, for its commitment to be the major sponsor through its Marketing Manager Samir Saleh and marketing coordinators Faisal Akbar and Bilal Rohilla. To handle the tournament officiating is the Jeddah Officiating Group (JOG) headed by its president and FBA Commissioner Jonathan Canda with Chairman Noel Miguel and referees John Lee, Romy Cabalu, Banny Lina, Nori Santiago, Anton Mallari, Jonathan Cabiling and Rey Roldan, Bani and Jay.
