The SABB Open Golf Tournament, one of the oldest events to take place at the Dirab Golf & Country Club, mounts its 2013 edition on Saturday.

After the heavy rain that lashed the city at the weekend, benign weather conditions are expected to greet the golfers when they tee it up at 8 a.m.

As of press time, 120 players have signed up for the competition with a further eight on the waiting list.

This 18-hole individual stroke play tournament will feature three divisions for men and one division for ladies. Each participant will receive a goody bag of shirt, cap sleeve of golf balls and golf towel courtesy of title sponsor SABB.

David Dew, managing director of SABB, also will play this tournament where Prince Khalid bin Saud Al Faisal won the Best Gross title last year.
