The first round of King of the Strip was concluded last Friday after a very exciting and strong competition that went on to the last minute.

This drag racing championship took place at Dirab Motor Park on the outskirts Riyadh and lasted for two days with the participation of more than 60 racers from various regions of the Kingdom in an atmosphere filled with excitement and enthusiasm.

The racers competed in three different categories, showing competitive spirit in a bid to win the most coveted title for drag racing this season which is King of the Strip. They expressed happiness at organizing such events that will develop their skills and abilities in a safe place where all elements of safety are available away from roads dangers. Interestingly, this round showcased different engine manufacturers: American, German, Korean, British, Italian and Japanese that competed with each other for the title.

In parallel with the championship, Saudi 911 club for modified cars also organized a great car show festival for sports cars, modified cars, dancing cars in addition to other amazing skating and remote control car shows.

At the end of the round Sakher Alsudairy, general manager of Dirab Park, awarded trophies to the top three winners in each category and the results were as follows:

Stock Class — First place Abdul Rahman Al-Aujan, second place Ziad Al Rasheed, third place Abdul Aziz Alkhamis

Super Stock Class — First place Faisal Musalam, second place Faisal Al –Amoudi, third place Yazeed Al Shuthri

Open Category — First place Majid Alshwaish, second place Othman Zain El Abidine, third Place Hassan Arini
