ALJ Leasing of Ronald Uranza beat GIG Jeddah 65-53 in the JBL Tournament at Bin Mahfouz basketball court here.

ALJ leasing played good defense in the final quarter as GIG started to lose steam and missed important baskets. Gani Taboa scored 19 points for ALJ Leasing and was adjudged as the Giordano best player of the game while Baniel top-scored with 14 point for GIG Jeddah.

UDG of Ariel Acedera defeated Sadia 85-72. UDG went to the open man in the fourth quarter to halt the defense of Sadia and stay alive in the elimination round. Michael Burgos had 23 points for UDG Jeddah and was adjudged as the Arab News best player of the game while Cruz led Sadia with 24 points.

Danya Foods of Peder Pederson beat Al-Ittifaq 76-46. Danya Foods played their offense well in the whole game as Al Ittifaq lost steam in the final quarter. Carino top-scored with 14 points for Danya Foods and was adjudged as the JBL best player of the game while Infeliz collected 21 points for Ittifaq.

Java Tithe of Coach Ricardo Selga defeated Barangay Fame 91-74. It was a ding-dong battle between these two teams up to the third quarter. Java Tithe adjusted their offense to halt Barangay Fame defense. Asenas top-scored with 19 points for Java Tithe and was adjudged as the JBL best player of the game while Gallano had 24 points at the helm of Barangay Fame.

Thursday, Lahing Pinoy of Francis Gallego beat Mahmoud Gharib 74-68. Lahing Pinoy’s running game was unstoppable in the whole game. Mahmoud Gharib tried hard but missed important baskets in the closing minutes. Jason Dela Vega scored 21 points for Lahing Pinoy and was adjudged as the Saudi Sign best player of the game while Isobal had 15 points for Mahmoud Gharib.

Team Pilipinas of Ermie Samson defeated KAMCI 80-65. Team Pilipinas applied tight defense in the fourth quarter as KAMCI tried to look to the open man but Team Pilipinas defense was everywhere. Galzote scored 20 points for Team Pilipinas and was adjudged as the Giordano best player of the game while Burgos chipped in 21 points for UDG.

SGS – NCB Quick Pay of Don Vincent Ricalde beat Carrefour 80-49. SGS – NCB caught Carrefour in an off night. SGS NCB pounded the Carrefour defense in the first half of action. Abulencia scored with 25 points for SGS - NCB and was adjudged as the JBL best player of the game while Catubig tallied 19 points for Carrefour.
