Archie & Company continued its rise up the standings winning another Team of the Week award during the seventh session in the

OFBC 4 + 1 Friday Afternoon League Season 3 at the Ice Land Bowling Center here.

Archie team struck for 24 total win points on a day of reversals as top-ranked RTJ Transient House lost to Carlos Sports Wear in the match betwee the league top two.

In a mild upset Archie took down the Youngsters Revival 16-4 on total pinfalls of 2,201 and 2,103 for its second team honors.

Meantime, defending champion Red Dragon looked to have put their struggling start behind them and finished on 21 points following their decisive 18-2 triumph over D’ Luf’s Strikers on total pinfalls of 2,070 and 1,918.

Pairs & Spares likewise had a good day out on the lanes beating Replacement-2 16-4 (2,105-2,032) for total win points of 21 while also claiming the men’s Bowler of the Week award through Nap Patayan who fired the high series of 584.

The highly anticipated match between the frontrunners of the tournament ended 12-8 to No. 2 Carlos Sports on total pinfalls of 2,141-2,112. Kristhea Mae Busico, however, offered consolation for the RTJ defeat when emerged the ladies Bowler of the Week after shooting her division’s best score of 564.

Carlos got the best out of its four-man rotation and it was Jameel Gabrera who returned the top score of 562 followed by Louie Pacia 547, Shirle Sagmit 530 and skipper Vovstone 502.

In handing Youngsters a thorough beating Archie & Co. received contributions of 570 from Mar Ilagan, 548 from Benj Espinosa, 542 from Hyeth Ann Achai, 137-147 from Fuly S. Primo and 173 from Lito Delos Reyes. When they were done Archie & Co. improved two places to fifth in the team standings.

The other scorers besides Patayan at Pairs were Jhun Estefano 531, Mia Chariz Cedotes 496, skipper Joey Calapatia 125-162 and Akang Victorino 124.

The Dragon had the duo of Cesar Pagtalunan and Fatima Jintarat at the helm on 544 and 514 that went with the 497 by Arman Gamboa, 148-157 by Tom Langa and 156 by co-captain Bash Langa.
