JEDDAH: ARM maintained their winning streak in the MoneyGram Premier Division Twenty20 Cricket League when they got the better of Hyderabad Green by seven wickets.

In the other fifth-week matches, organized by the Jeddah Cricket Association, Mazco edged past Ace Travel by three wickets while Pakistan Green got the better of Micro Engineering Cricketers by four wickets.

Champions Hyderabad Green batted first and were restricted to 166 for 6. Usman top-scored with 52 runs. Others on the scorers list were Amir Aziz (28) and Amir Gujjar (38).

Sami was the pick of the bowlers and took 2 for 20 while Shahid, Saadique Merchant and Nazeer had a wicket each.

In reply ARM reached their target comfortably and scored 172 for 3. Openers Athar Ali (32) and Tabriz (28) gave them a good start, which was propped up by Nazeer Ahmad’s unbeaten 59 off 24 balls. Pervez Khan gave him company with an unbeaten 23 to lead their team to a well-deserved win. ARM topped the table with four wins from as many outings.

In another match, Ace Travel put on board 180 for 8. Arsalan (52), Javed (26), Kaleem (25) and Ishaque (23) made notable contributions. Nasir’s 4 for 16 and Saber 2 for 25 did most of the damage.

In reply Mazco began in style as Faisal Khan plundered the helpless Ace bowlers with his hurricane knock of 54, which came off only 14 balls. Mustafa (27) Usman (35) and an invaluable unbeaten 14 from Sabir, sealed the match in their favor as they finished with 184 for 7 off 19.1 overs. Veteran Haroon Abdullah bagged 2 for 25 and all-rounder off spin bowler Arsalan got 2 for 36.

Elsewhere, Micro Engineering batted first and scored 170 for 6. Kaleem played an elegant innings of 67 runs. Solid contributions also came from the blade of Abid Parvez (41) and Shareefuddin (21). Zahid picked up 3 for 28 runs while Shan Manzoor chipped in with 2 for 12.

In reply Pak Green got a scare but managed to reach the target of 171 for 6. Thanks to Sajid (42), Amir Shahzad (43) and Shan Manzoor (25). Abid 2 for 18 and Rafi 2 for 34 bowled a tight length but their efforts were not good enough.

Big win for MHA

In the Morning League Butt Sports got the better of KAIA by 44 runs, Al-Khulais ousted Al-Ghudaid by 6 wickets, Al-Boroj beat Reel & Rom by 7 wickets and MHA routed Pak Young by 162 runs.
