Zaldy Bacero overcame the challenge of the feared lanes 13 and 14 to roll 15 consecutive strikes with the first 12 giving him another perfect 300 during the second game of the FEDBG Anniversary Bowlfest Sunday night qualifying session at the Bowling City here.

Starting the session with his usual excellently executed style, Bacero scored 245 in Game 1. Getting into second game with his Storm Lucid ball drilled at JBS-Pip’s Pro Shop recently, Bacero started bagging on the humpy lane 13. Applying his Game 1 analysis, Bacero used his Ebonite Total NV on lane 14 for another strike.

Sustaining this sequence of equipment usage, Bacero strung strikes till the 11th frame. Reaching the ultimate shot, lane-mates Rene Martinez, Med Ramos and Edris Mangoda including the rest of the crowd unselfishly allowed him to bowl undisrupted. With his Total NV for the finish, Bacero made a pocket hit for his fifth perfect game with the audience mobbing him to congratulate the multititled kegler. Bacero totaled his three games at 776 on scratch sets of 245, 300 and 231.

Earlier in the season, Melvin Lising also rolled 300 and like Bacero was awarded the perfect-game Hi-performance bowling ball. The FEDBG ABF 2013 concludes with the finals this Friday. Shadow Bowl is at 8 a.m. at Bowling City. Lising (4087) and Bacero (3905) are on top positions in Class OAB, Richard Antonio (3606) and Jimmy Mandingiado (3550) in CDE and Sally Sanosa (3391) and May Lourdes (3383) in Ladies division.
