CLEVELAND: Mark Buehrle pitched shutout ball into the eighth inning and remained unbeaten this season in leading the Toronto Blue Jays over the Cleveland Indians 5-0 in Major League Baseball on Saturday.

Jose Reyes hit an RBI single in his first game since opening day, when he strained his left hamstring in his first at-bat of the season and went on the disabled list.

Buehrle (4-0) lowered his ERA to 0.64 in four starts. The left-hander who once pitched a perfect game was pulled after giving up a single and walk to start the eighth. He allowed four hits overall, struck out three and walked three.

Dioner Navarro drove in three runs. Run-scoring singles by Jose Bautista and Navarro in the first put Toronto ahead, which was more than enough for Buehrle against the struggling Indians, who have lost seven of nine.

Bruce Chen labored through five innings before the Kansas City Royals’ bullpen took over, shutting down the Minnesota Twins the rest of the way in a 5-4 victory. The Royals have won five straight after getting swept last weekend in Minnesota.

In other American League games, the Detroit Tigers finally beat Los Angeles 5-2 after losing 10 straight to the Angels since August 2012, and the Boston Red Sox topped the Baltimore Orioles 4-2.

In the National League, Lance Lynn won his fourth straight start and delivered an RBI double after yet another error by Washington, as the St. Louis Cardinals scored three unearned runs to beat the Nationals 4-3, and the Chicago Cubs defeated the Cincinnati Reds 8-4.
