Carlos Sports Wear took over the league leadership from RTJ Transient House after it put away its third Team of the Week award during the 11th session in the the OFBC 4 + 1 Friday Afternoon League Season 3 at the Ice Land Bowling Center here.

Carlos claimed a big fish for a victim in pooling the top tally of 26 points as it crushed defending champion Red Dragon 18-2 on total pinfalls of 2,218-1,889 and rank points of 8 and 2.

RTJ did win against The Youngsters Revival 12-8 on total pinfalls of 2,069-2,096, rank points of 3-4 and total win points of 15 and 12.

But RTJ’s session total was not enough to prevent a Carlos takeover at No. 1, with two teams namely Archie & Company and Pairs and Spares having an even better total at identical 25.

Archie recorded the lone shutout win of the day against D’ Luf’s Strikers 20-0 (2,133-1,869) made more memorable after senior lady bowler Fuly S. Primo defied Father Time by clinching her fourth Bowler of the Week plum.

Pairs blasted Replacement 2 18-2 (2,185-2,153) thanks to Jhune Estefano 561, Conrad Baltazar 541 and Akang Victorino 530.

The trio of Louie Pacia, Jameel Gabrera and Shirley Sagmit took charge at Carlos with respective rounds of 572, 561 and 530 to go with the 212-124 by Gino Vallejos and 171 by skipper Vovstone.

Primo shot 549 at the helm of Archie who also had Lexter Atienza and Benj Espinosa on 522 and 510, while Puri Parena added 164-122 and team captain Archie Alcantara had 176.

Ed Cordova was the men’s Bowler of the Week on 573 as he somehow eased the pain of RTJ losing the lead it has long held. The husband and wife team of Joel and Malou Nidoy contibuted 502 and 451 at RTJ, while Hadi Pacheco had 181-176 and Jack Harin 162.
