RIYADH: King Faisal Specialists Hospital Blues got the better of Sama Steel by 23 runs in the sixth round of the SAIB Twenty20 Alkharj cricket league organized by the Riyadh Cricket Association.

KFSH Blues batted first and amassed 254 for 5. Irshad Mubashir scored a match winning 119 runs. Munawar supported him with 51. Ejaz took 2 wickets. In reply Sama Steel tried to make a fight of it but were restricted to 231 runs. Ejaz led the fight back with 108 runs but to no avail. Raja Gulraiz and Iftikhar shared 2 wickets each.

In their second match of the day, KFSH Blues beat Pak Shaheen by 7 wickets. Pak Shaheen were restricted to 175 runs. Javed (41) and Waheed (31) were the main scorers. Iftikhar Ali got 4 wickets. KFSH Blues achieved target after 16 overs. Irshad top scored with 64, Nasir Abbasi made a quick 44 off 14 balls.

In another match, Lahore Badshah ousted Lahore Lions by 6 wickets. Lahore Lions scored 174. Malik Fahad and Shoaib took 2 wickets each. Lahore Badshah achieved their target off 17.1 overs. Malik Fahad (54), Shoaib (51) and Yasir (44) were the scorers. Shouraim flattened Amir Holidays by 7 wickets. Amir Holidays compiled 201 for 5. Sami Arshad 45 and Sajid 38 played sensible knocks. Faisal took 2 wickets. Shouraim successfully chased the target in 18.4 overs. Nadeem Babar smashed unbeaten 86 and Faisal mustered 54.
