RIYADH: Champions Kricket Klub (CKK), King Faisal Specialist Hospital (KFSH) Green and Lahore Badshah (LBCC) Green emerged champions from their respective zones in the Sikander Farooqui Memorial cricket tournament, sponsored by Saudi Cricket Center and organized by the Riyadh Cricket Association.

In the finals, CKK got the better of Pak Shaheen by 4 wickets, KFSH beat Pakistan Falcons by a similar margin while Lahore Badshah, Green routed Kohsar Cricket Club by 7 wickets

In the Al-Kharj Zone, CKK outplayed favorites Pak Shaheen by 4 wickets. Pak Shaheen elected to bat first but failed to take advantage as they played under pressure against some disciplined bowling and were all out for 202 inside 40 overs.

Ibrar (44), Waheed (32) and Salam (27) were among the runs. Nadeem Asghar bowled well and grabbed 3 key wickets. Nabeel, Nouman and Imran also chipped in with 2 wickets each. Chasing a modest target, CKK started well with Nouman (63) and Kashif (24). In the middle overs, CKK lost some quick wickets, but Ali Shahid (44) and Hisham (31) made sure that CKK reached their target after 37.2 overs.

Man-of-the-Match: Nouman Asghar

In Huraymala Zone, KFSH Green defeated Pakistan Falcons by 4 wickets. Pakistan Falcons took strike first but were bowled out for 131. Hamza Abbasi (42) and Amanullah (23) were the only batsmen who showed some resistance. For Greens, Naeem Akbar was the pick of the bowlers who picked 3 wickets. He was ably supported by Farooq and Mansoor who got 2 wickets each. KFSH Green achieved the target after 18 overs. Ubaid hit 28 and Kauser 26. KFSH Green was in trouble, but Noor added unbeaten 23 runs which took the match away from Pakistan Falcons. Hamza Abbasi picked 2 wickets.

Man-of-the-Match: Noor

In the Riyadh Zone, Lahore Badshah (LBCC) Green routed Kohsar Cricket Club (KCC) by 7 wickets. KCC batted first and scored 179. Manan Abbasi (36), Nasir Abbasi (28), Abdulwahid (27), Rashid Abbasi (25) and Meraj Abbasi (24) were the main contributors. Farman picked 3 wickets while Shahid got 2. LBCC achieved their target off 17 overs. Thanks to a blazing knock of 108 by Mirza Jahangir Baig. Atif also played well and scored 51. Meraj Abbasi picked 2 wickets.
