D’ Luf’s Strikers managed to cash in on the dwindling chances they’ve got to claim Team of the Week honors during the 15th session in the OFBC Friday Morning League Season 1 at the Ice Land Bowling Center here.

At the start of the day D’ Luf’s was one of four teams still to win an award but ended the session clutching one leaving only Jandel’s Pride, Pairs and Spares and Nomac winless going into the last two weeks of eliminations.

In the individual race, Jandel’s Pride team captain Robert Stone guaranteed his name will be on the list after he carded the day’s high series of 640 on scratch games of 203, 203 and 186 to become the men's Bowler of the Week.

D’ Luf’s gathered 27 total win points, shutting out Mixed Shots 20-0 on total poinfalls of 2,797-2,709 and rank points of 7-3.

After it ended its chase for honors the previous week D’ Cyclone had again contended but settled for second-best on 23 points following its big 14-6 victory over fancied D’ Mountaineers on total pinfalls of 2,400-2,385 and rank points of 9-5.

Pairs & Spares submitted the highest total pinfalls of 2,835 that gave the team the top rank points of 10 in a 10-10 draw with Lance & 3rdy which carded total pinfalls of 2,495 for rank points of 8. Helping Pairs get to the highest total pinfalls were the trio of Conrad Baltazar 638, Rey Beltran 622 and ladies Bowler of the Week Akang Victorino who drilled 596 as the top performer in her division.

Elsewhere, Flexibowl blasted Nomac 16-4 (2,577-2,719 4-1 20-18) while the match between league leader Fed X Ally and Jandel’s Pride ended in a 10-1 draw (2,695-2,783 2-6 12-18).

At this stage of the tournament Fed X, Mountaineers and Lance are all a cinch to advance to the stepladder championship round as the top three qualifiers with the No. 1 a toss-up between Fed X (368 points) and Mountaineers (362).

Ruel Santoc led D’ Luf’s with 594 followed by Dariel Loquias 570, Caloy Nuguit 563 and May Lourdes 524.

In pulling off the big win D’ Cyclone got solid displays from the quintet of Bash Langa 606, Arman Gamboa 585, Tom Langa 553, Jack Jarin 542 and Aisah Silabay 531.

At Flexibowl Farida de Guzman was just a few pins short of 600 on 593 while Tirso Bambalan added 542 and Danny Atubang 525.
