Roger Daquioag and Ester Santoc inspired Pin Slasher Bulls and Micah’s Pride to identical 16-4 victories over Petromin Express and Ekis 3 with their Bowler of the Week award-winning performances during the sixth week in the Filipino Expatriate Damayan Bowling Group Friday Morning Bowling League 12th Conference at the Bowling City here.

Fresh off scoring a perfect 300 game during Sunday Fun Game qualifying, team captain Daquioag opened with a 236.

The lefty skipper followed that with a 224 and enthused teammates to put Pin Slasher in command after the first two salvoes.

Dariel Loquias, Carling Constantino, Jay Bengco, Aileen Miralbuna and co-captain May Lourdes supported solidly to neutralize the counter blows from Peromin’s Rolly Vistal and Jeff San Pedro.

The Bulls cleaned the first two sets due to their formidable cohesiveness. Looking to shut out Petromin, Daquioag and Bengco combined for 446 in the last set.

But this time Petromin had been energized with team captain Marlon Heredia shooting 221.

Jett Santos, Paolo Allego, Vistal, Imelda Sayago and San Pedro supported Heredia with 988 and salvaged 4 points for Petromin in the endgame. Nevertheless Pin Slasher claimed the overall at 3658-3489 and emerged Team of the Week. Daquioag won the men’s Bowler of the Week honors with games of 236, 224 and 211 for a scratch total of 671. Top-scorer for Petromin was Vistal with 651.

In the management of her team, E. Santoc found success in evenly sharing out the games and she used her handicap to the max be the ladies Bowler of the Week on 602 on games with handicap of 190, 210 and 202.

Santoc’s example rubbed off on Oca Bernabe, Bonnie Garcia, Jack Jarin, Ruel Santoc and Ronnie de Castro who helped Tigers on 1155-1108 initial control of Ekis-3.

Micah was set for a follow up with R. Santoc and de Castro blasting 216 and 223 until Sol Cuenca and Alex Flora fired back and with firm display from Zaldy Bacero, Ruben Griño, Lourdes Punzalan and team captain Ernie Geslani, Ekis-3 evened the card by taking the second game at 1199-1165.

This prompted the Tigers to go for a prudent endgame shifting to mark-trading and decisive finish. The result was a victorious 1106-1086 ultimate and triumphant aggregate of 3426-3393 with de Castro and Ruel chief in helping Ester with 624 and 619 respectively. Leading Ekis-3 was skipper Geslani on 616.

After six weeks of exciting matches, Ekis-3 holds a hairline lead over Lance Lance & 3rdy 133 to 132 points.
