JEDDAH: Desert Warriors scored a comfortable 76-run win over Ace Travel during the fourth week of the MoneyGram-sponsored Premier Division Twenty20 Cricket league organized by the Jeddah Cricket Association, here.

In the other matches of the same division, Hyderabad Green continued their unbeaten when they routed Tamer by 115 runs while Mazco routed Micro Engineering by 8 wickets.

Desert Warriors batted first and posted 236 for 5 wickets. Jafar scored a quick-fire 68 runs. Junaid was unbeaten on 66. The two ensured Desert Warriors crossed the 200 mark. Waseem (31) and Abdul Quddus (23 n.o.) chipped in with useful contributions. Arsalan picked up 3 for 23.

In reply ACE Travel were restricted to 161 for 9. Kaleem (32) and Sohail (34) were the notable contributors. Khalid (3 for 26), Abdul Quddus (3 for 19) and Islam (2 for 15) bowled with fire to give Desert Warriors an impressive win.

Hyderabad Green put up an impressive total of 231 for 7. A breezy knock of 92 runs by Usman was the highlight of their innings. Usman received good support from Javed who chipped in with 42. Abid took 3 for 51 and Arshad 2 for 30.

In reply Tamer were shot out for 116. Afroz (31) and Aqeel (27) were the only batsmen who offered some resistance.

The other batsmen could not tackle the fiery pace of Faisal who took 5 for 26. Javed gave him support and chipped in with 2 for 5.

Micro Engineering managed 119 for 8. Rafi (22) and Ilyas (25) were the main scorers. Farhat took 3 for 10) and Faisal Khan 2 for 16.

In reply Mazco scored 122 for 2 off only 8.2 overs. Faisal Khan led the way with a quick 50. Usman was unbeaten on 38 while Zaheer got 23.

Al Boroj, KAIA, MHA, Al Khulais triumph

In the First Division of the Morning Leauge’s fourth week matches, Al-Boroj got the better of Pak Young by 4 wickets, Al Khulais outclassed Saleheen by 105 runs, MHA eased past Reel & Rom by 44 runs and KAIA had the better of Al Gudaid by 5 wickets.

In the fourth week of the Afternoon League Division II matches, the duo of Peeran Warriors edged out Munch Bakery by 3 wickets, Peeran XI scraped past ICAD by 4 runs while Jamco beat Ktaykit by 21 runs.
