OKLAHOMA CITY: Kevin Durant scored 31 points to lead the Oklahoma City Thunder to a 116-96 victory over the Utah Jazz.

Durant finished 9-of-13 from the field and had nine assists. In his past two games, he has only missed a total of six shots and has not played in the fourth quarter in either game.

Russell Westbrook posted 19 points, five rebounds and four assists for the Thunder (54-19) who are three games behind San Antonio (57-16) for the top spot in the Western Conference.

Enes Kanter paced the Jazz with 18 points and 12 rebounds.

Cavaliers 90 Pacers 76: Dion Waiters had a game-high 19 points as the Cleveland Cavaliers upset Indiana to improve their playoff chances and damage the Pacers’ hold on the East’s top spot.

The Cavs (30-45) pulled within 2-1/2 games of the Atlanta Hawks (31-41) in the race for the final Eastern Conference playoff spot.

Forward Paul George had 15 points and seven rebounds to lead the Pacers (52-22) who have lost five of their last seven games as their lead over Miami has been trimmed to one game.

Cleveland again played without Kyrie Irving, who has missed the last eight games with a biceps injury.

Nets 114 Timberwolves 99: The Brooklyn Nets continued to enjoy home cooking, beating the Minnesota Timberwolves for their 13th consecutive victory.

The Nets, who tied a franchise record set in 2002 for consecutive home wins, moved a step closer to clinching a playoff berth. Brooklyn will accomplish that with either their next win or the New York Knicks’ next loss.

Paul Pierce had 22 points, guard Joe Johnson had 19 points, for the Nets (39-33), who scored 100-plus points for the eighth consecutive game, their longest streak since 1994.

Bulls 107 Celtics 102: D.J. Augustin came off the bench to score a career-high 33 points, including nine straight down the stretch, as the Chicago Bulls continued their push for home-court advantage in the first round of the playoffs.

By winning their 18th game in their last 26, the Bulls stayed 1-1/2 games ahead of fifth-place Brooklyn and one behind third-place Toronto.

Rajon Rondo led six Celtics in double figures with 17 points and 11 assists.

Raptors 98 Magic 93: DeMar DeRozan scored 28 points and Jonas Valanciunas added 20, leading the Toronto Raptors to a victory over the Orlando Magic.

It was the third consecutive victory for the Raptors, who remain atop the Atlantic Division at 42-31 and assured of their first playoff appearance since 2008.

The Magic were led by center Nikola Vucevic, who had 22 points and 10 rebounds.

Trail Blazers 105 Grizzlies 98: LaMarcus Aldridge scored 28 points as the Portland Trail Blazers mounted a big lead, then held on to beat Memphis and deliver a setback to the Grizzlies’ playoff chase.

With the win, Portland (48-27) expanded their lead on the fifth spot in the Western Conference, now two games ahead of Golden State.

With their second straight loss, the Grizzlies (43-30) have fallen to ninth place and are a half-game behind both Phoenix and Dallas.

Zach Randolph scored 21 points and Marc Gasol added 20 for the Grizzlies, who fell to 2-2 on a five-game road trip that ends Tuesday at Staples Center against the Los Angeles Lakers.

Knicks 89 Warriors 84: Amar’e Stoudemire converted two tie-breaking free throws after a wild sequence near the Golden State basket and forward Carmelo Anthony capped a 19-point performance with a late basket and two free throws as the New York Knicks recorded a key win in their playoff pursuit.

The win allowed the Knicks (31-43) to move within one game of Atlanta in the race for the eighth and final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference.

After leading by as many as 12 points in the first half, Golden State (45-28) trailed the entire second half until Warriors point guard Stephen Curry buried a wide-open three-pointer for an 81-81 tie with 2:43 to go.

Curry, who finished with a game-high 32 points, then missed a pair of wild shots that led to Stoudemire being fouled and putting New York ahead for good.

Lakers 115 Suns 99: Chris Kaman scored a season-high 28 points and pulled down 17 rebounds, and the Los Angeles Lakers surprised the Phoenix Suns with an upset win.

The loss ended a six-game winning streak for the Suns (44-30), who dropped into a tie with the idle Dallas Mavericks for the No. 7 spot in the Western Conference playoff race.

Phoenix, who had won four in a row over the Lakers (25-48), lost for the first time in four meetings with Los Angeles this season.

Gerald Green scored 22 points to lead the Suns.
