RIYADH: Abdul Wahab’s brilliant knock of 116 runs was not good enough as Lahore Badshah went down by three wickets to Sulaiman XI in a thrilling Super Eight match of the Chairman Division MoneyGram Cricket Ke Badshah Twenty20 cricket tournament organized by the Riyadh Cricket Association, here.

Lahore put up a reasonable 203 for 7 in their stipulated overs. Kamran, Mudassir and Faisal picked 2 wickets each for the bowling side. Sulaiman XI achieved the total with two balls to spare. Shakeel Ahmed top-scored with 52runs while Sulaiman got 29.

In another match, Yousafzai XI outclassed favorites Pak Shaheen by 14 runs. Yousafzai used the track first and posted 212 runs. Thanks to Ayaz’s 60 runs supported by Tariq who got 40. Iftikhar Khan took 3 wickets while Ateeq got 2. Pak Shaheen managed to score 98 for 8. Ibrar got 57 runs while Wahab Khan got 40. Ayaz bagged 3 wickets and Altaf 2.

Elsewhere, Star XI beat Lahore Cricket Club by 18 runs. Star XI put on board 184 runs with the help of Bilal’s 64 and Amjad’s 45. Lahore Cricket Club were all out after 18.1 overs.In the President Division, KFSH Blues batted first and put up 226 runs. Ayaz (71), Nasir Abbasi (58) and Irshad Mubasshir (52) were the main scorers. Zafar, Waqas and Waseem picked one wicket each.

Pak Fighters in reply folded up for 91 runs. Hilal scored 21 runs. Imtiaz took 3 wickets. Raja Gulraiz and Syed Usman grabbed 2 wickets each. KFSH won by 135 runs

CKK trounced Green Bangla by 10 wickets. Green Bangla scored 163 runs. Aminul and Kakon scored 54 and 40 runs respectively. Nabeel and Omar shared 4 wickets.

CKK achieved their target after 13.4 overs without losing any wicket. Sajid Nawaz played a blistering innings of 100 and Nouman Asghar supported him with 52.

In the other matches, Shouraim beat Stallions and KFSH Green upset Lahore Lions.
