Jameel Gabrera was the men’s Bowler of the Month for March to become the first repeat winner thus far in the OFBC Monthly Tournament at the Ice Land Bowling Center here.

The winner in the opening event of the series in January, Gabrera bowled the winning total of 388 during the two games finals.

First runner-up to champion Gabrera was Joel Nidoy who, interestingly, was also the first runner-up in January. Nidoy tallied 274.

The next two places were decided via the high-low rule with Lexter Atienza second runner-up and Toto Lim third runner-up, after both bowlers tied on 373.

Lim was second runner-up in January while beginning bowler Atienza posted his first podium finish in the monthly series leading up to the Bowler of the Year Championship 2014 in December.

The ladies division battle was likewise a decisive win for the champion, Akang Victorino, who carded 366. Carms Lim, the third runner-up in January, finished fist runner-up this time on 343.

Shirley Sagmit clinched the second runner-up from Minda Guevarra after the high-low tiebreak when they both had 334 at the end of the two games finals.

Sagmit never missed a spot in the podium since the monthlies started and this mainly resulted in her being upgraded from Class D to Class C under the OFBC’s new reclassification after six months. She was champion in February and second runner-up in January.
