RIYADH: Twenty-four teams are taking part in the second MoneyGram Cricket Ke Badshah Twenty20 Cup held under the guidance of the Saudi Cricket Center and organized by the Riyadh Cricket League at the RCL complex here.

Highlights of the matches were impressive batting performances by Imran Gavanji and Mohammed Hussain of Game Pro, Ajaz Hussain of Diamond, Sajjad Shah of Mughal and Madani of Royal Fighters. Shakir of Game Pro and Aftab of Maestro impressed with their bowling.

Game Pro batted first and put on board 202 runs. Their opening batsmen Mohammed Hussain (71) and Imran Gavanji (81) were involved in a 160-run partnership.

In reply Gujranwala were bowled out for 97 runs. Ashraf (39) was the only batsman who put up a fight. Shakir took 4 wickets while Waqas and Imran took 2 wickets each. Gamepro won by 104 runs.

Man-of-the-Match: Imran Gavanji.

In another match, Maestro scored a thrilling two- wicket over Insaf, which made first use of the track and scored 124 runs. Zeeshan (18) and Ahmed (16) were the scorers. Sameer took 3 wickets while Imran and Ibrahim took 2 wickets each.

In reply Maestro achieved the target in 17.2 overs. Hamad Ali made 24 runs while Jamal Khan and Kalandar Hamad made 20 runs each. Kasim made 17 and Sameer 14. Aftab took 4 wickets while Ali and Amir took 2 wickets each.

Man-of-the-Match: Sameer Akelkar.

Elsewhere, Cricketers scored a thrilling three-run win over RP. Cricketers scored 163 runs after they batted first. Thanks to, Mansoor (44), Zeeshan Butt (24), Rizwan (20) and Asad (18). Imran and Salman took 2 wickets.

In reply RP did their best to achieve the target but fell short by three runs. Salman provided a good opening start and made 66 runs while Hammad made 24 and Imran 15 runs respectively. Waqas and Ahmer took 2 wickets each.

Man-of-the-Match: Mansoor.

Diamond defeated Warriors by 6 wickets. Warriors made first use of the track and scored 161 runs. Mazhar top-scored with 65 runs supported by Ehsan ‘s 41.Hyder bowled well and took 3 wickets while Omar bin Abdullah got 2 wickets.

In reply Diamond achieved the total after 17.4 overs. Ajaz Hussain was in good form and made an unbeaten 62 runs. He was supported by Khaja Pasha’s valuable unbeaten 38 and Taher Mohammed’s 23 runs. Mohammed took 2 wickets.

Man-of-the-Match: Ajaz Hussain.

Mughal CC put up a reasonable total of 203 runs. Sajjad Shah (72) and Imran (21) provided a good opening start. Zahid provided support with his 28 runs while Sajad (37) and Azeem (14) propped up the innings later. Madani and Ameen bowled well and claimed 2 wickets each.

In reply Royal Fighters batsmen played well and tried their best to achieve the total but fell short by 12 runs. Madani M played well and made 61 runs. Qaiser (23) and Ibrahim (24) were the other contributors. Sajjad bowled well and took 3 wickets while Shafiq bagged 2. Mughal won by 12 runs.
